Taylor Rooks is MARRIED! Beautiful sports journalist breaks internet with surprise wedding and her mystery husband

Taylor Rooks, the celebrated American sports broadcaster known for her dynamic interviews and courtside presence, has officially tied the knot, leaving fans stunned on social media.

 In a surprise announcement on Instagram this Wednesday July 23, Rooks revealed that she recently wed in New York, posting a carousel of images from the star-studded ceremony.

Captioning the post with a simple but heartfelt “What a night. This is love,” Rooks kept details of the wedding intimate — but the visuals spoke volumes. 

Taylor Rooks married Shane Fowler on Saturday, July 19 in New York.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at Gotham Hall in midtown.

“We wanted a venue that already possessed lots of character and depth." Rooks told GQ.

“It was incredibly important that the entire wedding happened in one spot.

“Sometimes getting in the car and going from a ceremony location to a reception location can kill the vibe," she added.

From the elegant floral arrangements to the sheer A-list presence in attendance, the affair was nothing short of opulent.

In one photograph, Rooks is seen beaming alongside rapper Jack Harlow and NFL star Saquon Barkley. 

Another featured basketball royalty Kevin Durant and Draymond Green smiling at the reception, Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell and singer fiancée Coco Jones, were also spotted among guests as well as Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin.

While the images were widely shared across social media, the identity of Rooks’ husband remains shrouded in mystery.

The only clue? A close-up of the evening’s menu card showing his first name: Shane.

However, it is understood that Taylor Rooks' husband's name is Shane Fowler.

Shane Fowler is an attorney from from Cynthiana, Kentucky, who graduated from Harvard Law School in 2022.

Before graduating from Harvard, Shane Fowler attended the University of Kentucky, where he majored in Communications and minored in Biology.

He previously stated his interest in law school is rooted in his upbringing in Rural America.

"My interest in law school is rooted in my upbringing in Rural America. I hope to one day reduce the barriers on education, employment and healthcare that currently plague the region, " Shane said in an interview with legal columnist Renwei Chung for Above The Law.

Shane Fowler has also worked as a columnist for The Herald Leader and Courier Journal.

Rooks, 33, has long been discreet about her personal life, choosing to keep her relationships away from the public eye despite her growing fame in sports media. 

The wedding appears to be no exception, with the guest list comprised of a tight-knit circle of colleagues, athletes, and friends — including TV host Joy Taylor, who was seen in bridesmaid attire.

“So happy for my girl,” Taylor posted to her Instagram Story, resharing Rooks’ reveal. 

The surprise wedding comes just ahead of a major professional transition for Rooks.

Earlier this year, she departed from Bleacher Report and TNT, announcing she would join Prime Video as the host of their new NBA studio show. 

Set to premiere this autumn, the programme will feature basketball legends Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki alongside Rooks.

“I’m thrilled to continue to grow my role at Prime Video and help shape their NBA coverage from the ground up,” Rooks said in a statement back in January.
