Despite a flurry of hopeful headlines suggesting a rekindling of romance, sources close to Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra claim the divorce is firmly underway.
The long-time couple, who shocked fans with news of their split in January after more than 30 years together, were reportedly exploring a possible reconciliation over Easter.
Spanish newspaper El Nacional even hinted the pair were “prepared to give each other another chance.”

Spanish showbiz reporters Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez, known as Las Mamarazzis, have claimed that Pep and Cristina are still estranged, and no reunion is in sight.

Speaking on the Mamarazzis podcast and as reported by Daily Mail, Laura Fa confirmed:
‘It’s been speculated recently that there could exist a possibility of a reconciliation… We don’t have many more details about the couple’s intimacy but we can confirm that they are still separated and there is no reconciliation on the horizon.’

It would seem the Easter reunion, which saw Guardiola spend three days at the family’s Barcelona home, was more about family duty than romantic healing.
‘That’s why after separating, Pep and Cristina went to the theatre with their daughter,’ Fa added.

‘They continue to have a good relationship… but it can sometimes cause confusion.’
Co-host Lorena Vázquez expanded further, revealing the reality behind the photo that sparked reconciliation rumours: ‘We were able to confirm Pep Guardiola spent three days in the city and slept for at least two nights in the house in Barcelona… but the separation is continuing its course and there’s no reconciliation.’

And in perhaps the most revealing comment, Vázquez said: ‘She [Cristina] was the one who sparked the split and gave Pep a sort of ultimatum. He could still be trying to come to terms with the situation.’

The couple are said to be using the same lawyer in what has been described as a “conscientious” and “amicable” divorce process, with their children’s well-being remaining a priority.
Cristina herself has remained tight-lipped when asked about the reason behind their sudden break-up, but in her only public comment since the news broke, she simply said she was “feeling great.”
