Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, is reportedly attempting to get back together with his wife, Cristina Serra, and the surprising reason behind their earlier separation has come to light.
In January, the separation of former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Guardiola from his partner of more than three decades was announced.
The news came following the Spaniard’s decision to sign a new contract extension with Man City and remain in England.
The decision did not go well with Serra, who decided to return to Spain and ask for a split in their marriage.

Maria Lapiedra has told EN Blau VIP, “Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra still wear their wedding rings. They're trying to reconcile. He came to her house for three days this Easter and stayed the night there.
“He's saying he could be in Manchester and come see her on a private plane in Barcelona once a week, then leave again.

“She wanted to separate because he secretly renewed his contract without speaking to Cristina, but Pep wants to stay with her.”
Despite keeping his new contract with Man City a secret from Serra, she appears ready to forgive Guardiola, which could give them a chance to get back together.
