 But behind every star player is a powerful support system, and for Eze, that is his wife, Naima Corbin.

Naima Corbin gained prominence in 2025 as the wife of Eberechi Eze.

She is of British and Jamaican descent.

An alumna of The John Roan School, Naima was originally set to pursue a degree in History and Politics. 

However, she took a year out and ultimately decided to follow a different path, embarking on a degree in Nursing.

According to a news piece from her former school, she is an "amazing speaker" who has returned to share her journey and career insights with students. 

She is fiercely supportive of her husband, having been by his side through the various stages of his career. 

Before news of their wedding broke and also during that period, a significant number of news outlets, made a fundamental error in reporting Naima’s identity. 

Many of them repeatedly referred to her as “Izuthe Mulatto”, a name that quickly became associated with Eze’s wife across social media and various online biographies. 

The origin of this mistake appears to have been a simple mix-up in early reports that was then copied by other news organisations without proper verification. 

It created a widespread misconception about who she was, despite other, more reputable sources like British Vogue correctly identifying her as Naima Corbin. 

Naima and Eberechi’s story began not on a pitch or at a glamorous launch, but in the hallways of John Roan School in Greenwich. 

They were friends when they met at age 15, she told British Vogue: 

“We were just friends at first.

 “But I think I always had a crush on Ebere, if I’m honest, and we eventually started dating when I was 18.” 

In 2019, Eze made their relationship public on his Instagram, often sharing snaps with his partner.

Eberechi Eze climbed through the ranks at QPR before earning a £17 million move to Crystal Palace, while Naima Corbin took a different path. 

Originally applying to study history and politics, she later chose to pursue a vocation in healthcare. 

Today, Naima balances life between intensive care units and VIP boxes at football stadiums - “two very, very different arenas,” as she once put it.

Juggling contrasts is something she has grown accustomed to; after all, it was in the midst of her final university exams that Eze proposed, in a flower-filled suite at The Shard’s five-star Shangri-La hotel.

Eberechi and his wife Naima celebrated their union with not one, but three separate wedding ceremonies, a detail exclusively shared with British Vogue.

The couple initially tied the knot in a small, intimate church service with just 13 family members back in 2022. 

This private ceremony was the foundation for a much larger, multi-day celebration.

The trio of events included a traditional Nigerian wedding, honouring their heritage, followed by a lavish reception at Two Temple Place on the Strand in Central London. 

The wedding was a stunning display of Igbo tradition, with Eze donning a traditional Igbo garment.

This series of celebrations was meticulously planned and spanned over a three-year period.

Naima told Vogue: “We wanted something intimate because we always knew there would be a traditional Nigerian wedding on the horizon, that was super important to Ebere’s parents, followed by the wedding that I had always dreamed of.”

 Both celebrations unfolded across one single, but memorable weekend in May.

The attention to detail in their nuptials was breathtaking, particularly when it came to Naima's bridal wear. 

For the grand finale at Two Temple Place, Naima wore a stunning Vivienne Westwood gown. 

The design, known for its opulent and structured elegance, perfectly complemented the gothic grandeur of the venue.

 According to the Vogue article, Naima's choice of the iconic British designer was a nod to both timeless style and personal flair. 

Eberechi, equally dapper, opted for two different looks from British luxury brand Burberry, ensuring the couple’s sartorial choices were a perfect match.

The images from the day captured by Vogue reveal a couple deeply in love and completely at ease in the spotlight, despite the nerves Eze admitted to feeling, saying, "walking down the aisle is more nerve-racking than exiting the tunnel".

Beyond the fairytale of gowns and wedding aisles, Naima Corbin has been a steadfast presence throughout Eberechi Eze’s rise to international football.

Cameras have caught her in the stands at Wembley, cheering during England fixtures, often with family and friends by her side. 

Unlike the high-glamour WAG stereotype, she shys away from the spotlight, a reassuring constant that Eze himself has credited with giving him balance off the pitch.
