Gerard Pique: Former Barca defender refuses to 'Shalaye' on his own version of what led to Shakira ending their 11-year relationship

Gerard Pique and Shakira were widely regarded as one of the most influential couples in football.

The former celebrity couple called time on their 11-year relationship in June 2022 following allegations of infidelity on the former Barcelona player..

Since their breakup, Pique (36) and Shakira (46) have been in the news as the pair have taken the next steps to move on from their fairytale.

Pique, a former Barcelona captain, has also not opened up on the details of what led to his separation from Shakira who has also released some diss tracks to shade the former footballer.

Pique and Real Betis legend Jaoquin were recently present on a program Antena 3: Joaquín, El Novato and the former Manchester United defender was quizzed about his former relationship with Shakira

AS Tikitakas reports that Joaquin reportedly asked Pique on the program, “All stories have two versions, why don't we know yours,” to which the former Catalan defender responded with a sincere: “because I don't think it's necessary.” 

Pique’s refusal to open up on his former relationship comes amid reports that he and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti could soon tie the knot.

Pique was alleged to have cheated on Shakira with the pretty 23-year-old student and employee who reportedly works for his movie and TV production company, Kosmos.

The pair have been spotted together on several occasions since his split from Shakira - who has also been linked to a number of high profile celebrities like Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, NBA star Jimmy Butler, and seven-time Formula 1 champion Sir. Lewis Hamilton.
