Bayern Munich officially announced Manchester City legend Vicent Kompany as new coach.
Bayern Munich has announced that Vincent Kompany will take over from Thomas Tuchel as the new manager of the record-German champions.
The 38-year-old Belgian previously managed Burnley in the Premier League for two years, from 2022 to 2024. Kompany has had a decent start to his career, leading Burnley to some impressive results in the Championship (the second tier of English football).

Kompany 2027
Bayern Munich announced today via their official channels that Vincent Kompany has signed a contract valid until June 2027.

FC Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany: “I'm looking forward to the challenge of FC Bayern. It's a great honour to be able to work for this club - FC Bayern is an institution in international football. As a coach, you have to stand for what you are as a character: I love having the ball, being creative - but we also have to be aggressive and courageous on the pitch. I'm now looking forward to the basics: working with the players, building a team. Once the basis is right, success will follow."
The Bundesliga side, previously managed by Thomas Tuchel, relinquished the title to invincible Bayer Leverkusen, who clinched the league for the first time. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich finished third with 72 points.
Having won the Bundesliga a record 32 times, with their most recent victory in the 2021-2022 season, Bayern's trophyless season led to Tuchel's departure by mutual agreement.
