Chelsea fans on social media believe that they have something to cheer about following their FA Cup from the women’s team.

Chelsea fans on social media believe that they have something to cheer about following their FA Cup from the women’s team.

The Blues ladies defeated Manchester United in the FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium by 1-0 courtesy of Samantha Kerr’s goal.

The game witnessed a record-breaking 77,390 spectators packed at England’s national stadium on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Chelsea’s men’s team so far in the past weeks

However, it has been a different story with the men’s side following their dismal outing in the 2022-23 Premier League season.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are poised to finish in the bottom of the league, their worst outing in the last 30 years.

Despite changing two managers, the 2015-16 Premier League champions have been at the receiving of things this season.

Chelsea had to grind a 3-1 win over Bournemouth to cement their status for topflight action next season and it was Frank Lampard’s first win for the club in seven matches.

At the weekend, the Blues were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge ahead of next weekend’s mouth-watering clash against Manchester City at the Etihad.

However, Chelsea fans seem to be satisfied with the performance of the club overall after the women’s team won the FA Cup.

The Blues faithful threw shades on social media at their London rivals Arsenal for failing to win a trophy between both men and women’s teams respectively.

Chelsea fans trolling Arsenal on social media

One fan said:

"I speak for all Chelsea fans when I say, Let the female coach take over from Lampard next season; it will go a long way toward strengthening the team, or at least the trophy-winning mentality>>>"

The second did not hold back words:

"At least our club won a trophy, what has Arsenal won?"

A third added:

"Chelsea is Chelsea, we are one and there is nothing like women’s team."
