We are not the same — Real Madrid star addresses comparisons with Yamal

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler addressed the comparisons between himself and Lamine Yamal, insisting that he is fundamentally different from the Barcelona man. 

Güler and Yamal are on opposite sides of the El Clásico rivalry in LALIGA and tomorrow, they will square up against each other as primary creative forces on either side of a World Cup qualifier clash between Spain and Turkey.  

Both players are precocious, left-footed, excellent dribblers and primarily playmakers; being on the opposite sides of the Barcelona-Real Madrid divide, comparisons abound. Ahead of the match, Guler was asked about the comparisons, and he had the following to say. 

"Me and Lamine Yamal don’t play in the same position; our styles are different; it wouldn’t be right to compare," Güler said, per Goal. 

"He plays for Barcelona and I for Real Madrid. I wish him all the best for tomorrow. I am not surprised by what Lamine Yamal has been doing. He has a lot of talent and will do his utmost to make it difficult for us."
