Saudi Professional League champions Al-Ittihad left it until the second-half to blow away Al-Wehda to maintain their 100 per cent start to their title defence campaign.
Their win was, however, marred by an injury to their star forward and new signing, Karim Benzema.
How it happened
The Tigers have been utterly dominant in the start to their title defence, winning their first three games coming into the clash against Al-Wehda while keeping clean sheets in each.
They were expected to blow the host away, but Georgios Donis's side kept them at bay for over an hour.
Karim Benzema sustained a knock in the 42nd minute of the game and was replaced by former Celtic forward Jota.

The visitors finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when N'golo Kante found Romarinho.
Benzema's replacement, Jota, made it in less than five minutes after getting on the end of an Igor Coronado delivery.
