After months of gridlock, both clubs have reportedly made significant progress that could see the Super Eagles star land in Istanbul permanently.

Napoli reach agreement with Galatasaray

Italian journalist Matteo Moretto and Turkey’s Yagiz Sabuncuoglu both report that Napoli and Galatasaray have now agreed on a €75 million transfer package.

While the total amount was never the main obstacle, Napoli had previously rejected Galatasaray’s payment plan until this week. The Turkish champions will now pay €40 million upfront, followed by two installments of €17.5 million each, all to be completed by mid-2026.

In a move designed to block any Serie A rivals, especially Juventus, from swooping in, Galatasaray have accepted a clause that would force them to pay Napoli another €75 million if Osimhen is sold to another Italian club within two years.

Napoli are also pushing for a 20% sell-on clause in case Galatasaray later flip Osimhen for a profit, although that detail is still under discussion.

Officially, he submitted a medical excuse, but his absence strongly suggests the Galatasaray deal is in its final stages.

Antonio Conte has already started preparing his squad without him, including new signings and returning loanees.
