It's a new dawn in German football as young manager, Julian Nagelsmann, has taken over the role of the head coach of the German national team.
They looked headed for a fourth defeat in five games when Christian Pulisic opened the scoring; however, the four-time World Cup winners rallied themselves and came back to win.
How it happened
Cristian Pulisic thought he opened the scoring early on when he ran behind the German backline, but he was found to be offside.
He would not be denied in the 27th minute, however, curling the ball into the top right corner to beat an outstretched Marc Andre Ter Stegen against the run of play.
Germany were always in the game, constantly creating chances but finishing poorly, but Gundogan finally gave them an equaliser.

Dortmund's Niclas Fulkrug was a regular thorn in the side of the American backline, and eventually put Germany ahead from close range.
He assisted the winner as well, squaring the ball to Jamal Musiala to tap in from close range. Leroy Sane went close to making it four, but he dragged his attempt wide.
The game ended 3-1 and Germany followed up their 2-1 win over France with another victory after a run of three straight defeats and five games without a win.
