Manchester United star Marcus Rashford faced criticism over partying after derby day defeat.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has addressed reports of star forward Marcus Rashford partying after the embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the derby.

Ten Hag’s forwards have been misfiring this season, including Rashford, who has failed to carry over his form from last season into this campaign. He has only scored once in the league this season, last scoring two months ago against Arsenal.

What Ten Hag said

Hours after the defeat to Pep Guardiola’s team, Marcus Rashford has a birthday celebration. According to the BBC, the party was pre-planned, and it did not hinder his punctuality for training the next morning.

Given the circumstances, however, Ten Hag found it unacceptable but stated that the player had apologised.

“I am aware of it; I also spoke with him about it. Unacceptable,” he said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“Marcus apologised; that’s it. It’s an internal matter. He is very motivated to put things right. He makes a mistake but he’s totally with us. All good.”

Meanwhile, despite poor results, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag says his present team is strong and has ruled out moves.

The Red Devils crashed out of the EFL Cup after losing 3-0 to Newcastle at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

In addition to their poor performances this season, Manchester United have struggled with injuries to their defence.

However, Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, says his present team is good and rules out transfers despite weak performances.
