Transfer News: Chelsea’s ₦25 billion summer signing to depart after six months
Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is reportedly close to joining Borussia Dortmund on loan.
The 21-year-old Portuguese international has struggled for Premier League game time at Stamford Bridge and could be set for a move to the Bundesliga.

According to reports in Germany, Veiga has reached an agreement with Dortmund over a move, with the German club keen to include an option to buy.

Veiga joined Chelsea from Basel in the summer for a fee of £12 million, but has typically been utilised in the Conference League and cup games, recently featuring against Morecambe in the FA Cup.
He has made 18 appearances this season under manager Enzo Maresca, with seven coming in the Premier League.

Despite his lack of playing time, Maresca previously praised Veiga's versatility, highlighting his ability to play in various positions across the defence and midfield.
However, with competition for places fierce at Chelsea, a move to Dortmund could provide Veiga with the regular first-team football he needs to continue his development.
