Jennifer Echegini joined the six-time Serie A champions Juventus in January and signed a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 30, 2026.
The exceptional midfielder who has been a key player for Juventus is expected to be part of the Super Falcons team for the 2024 Olympic Games starting next month.
The Super Falcons will face Brazil, Spain, and Japan in their group game as they start preparation for the competition.
Echegini wants move
Echegini has reportedly told Juventus that she wants to leave Turin because she needs to better fit with Italian football and their way of thinking, according to Tuttojuve.
Juventus is eager to keep the gifted midfield player, but they are open to a bid of almost ₦239 million in Nigerian money.
Although the Nigerian international has requested a move, Juventus intends to have her in the team for the training camp on July 18 while they await any firm bids.
Even though Echegini only joined Juventus in January, she made an impression by scoring double digits in goals—she and Manuela Giugliano of Roma are the only other midfielders to do so.
The 23-year-old was acknowledged as the best U23 player in the league and made the Serie A Team of the Season.
