Super Falcons star reacts to disappointing Liverpool draw against Leeds

Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds on Saturday evening in the Premier League, denting their hopes of challenging for the league.

The Reds surrendered a two-goal lead in the second half and failed to hold on to a narrow lead at 3-2, allowing Leeds to earn a draw.

The result leaves Liverpool languishing in eighth position in the league table as their season crumbles gradually.

The Reds surged ahead with two quick goals from Hugo Ekitike within the first five minutes of the second half, seemingly putting the reigning champions on course for a comfortable victory.

The home side began to apply intense pressure and were rewarded in the 73rd minute when Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a penalty to reduce the deficit.

Just two minutes later, the comeback was complete as Anton Stach levelled the score after a slick interchange with Brenden Aaronson. 

Despite the setback, Liverpool rallied and appeared to have secured the win when Dominik Szoboszlai found the net in the 80th minute to make it 3-2.

But in a final, dramatic twist, Leeds' Ao Tanaka unleashed a stunning strike in the sixth minute of stoppage time, ensuring the points were shared in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Following the match, Babajide, who currently plays for Roma but represented Liverpool from 2018 to 2021, expressed her feelings with a single heartbroken emoji on X (formerly Twitter).
