For the first time in history, the Super Falcons went through the group stage unbeaten and kept three clean sheets out of four games.

On Monday, three members of Nigeria's senior women's national team were guests of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in the Aso Villa after other players failed to show up.

Goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi, midfield maestro Christy Ucheibe, and captain Onome Ebi were the players in attendance as the first lady welcomed the valiant Super Falcons.

Five members of the team’s backroom and technical staffs also attended the meeting with the First Lady.

The First Lady organised the event to recognise the players' incredible skill, artistry, and tenacity throughout the competition in Australia, where they advanced to the Round of 16.
