Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum reacted to Manchester United's comeback victory over Nottingham Forest via social media.

The 66-year-old coach recently led the Nigerian women's national team to an impressive World Cup campaign, going through the tournament unbeaten in regular play.

Although the Falcons were knocked out in the Round of 16 against England, it was through penalty shootouts. They also beat co-hosts Australia in the group stage.

Manchester United vs. Nottingham Forest

The Red Devils returned to Old Trafford to face the Tricky Trees after a disappointing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

They suffered an early goal from Nigeria's Taiwo Awoniyi, and the tense Theatre of Dreams became even more uneasy.

Willy Boly doubled Manchester United's woes two minutes later, cursing the evening to become even gloomier for the home crowd.

Erik ten Hag's troops rallied themselves, however, and thanks to a first-half Christian Eriksen strike and the goals by Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in the second-half, they completed a comeback.

They almost had to settle for less than three points as the visitors had a late flurry of attacks, but the EFL Cup holders held on to maximum points.

What Waldrum said about the match

The rollercoaster nature of the game seems to have had an effect on the University of Pittsburgh Panthers women's football team coach, who tweeted his reaction to the game.

Waldrum is likely a Manchester United fan, and after Bruno Fernandes' penalty strike in the 76th minute of the match, he tweeted in celebration.

During the game, Waldrum also put out a tweet saying, "Think I need a wellness check on myself... @ManUtd.”
