Super Eagles star Moses Simon celebrates winning his return to Nantes with Paris FC in a pre-season friendly.

Simon, who joined the capital club from Nantes this summer, netted his side’s second goal in the match at the Stade Vélodrome.

It was a challenging task for Paris FC against Roberto De Zerbi’s team, who finished second behind champions PSG last term.

Marseille quickly established a two-goal lead within six first-half minutes, thanks to strikes from Mason Greenwood and the returning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 18th and 24th minutes, respectively.

Paris FC managed to pull a goal back through Illan Kebbal in the 28th minute, signaling their intent to mount a comeback but the hosts took the lead into the halftime break.

Kebbal, who scored the first goal, turned provider by sending the Super Eagles winger through on goal. Simon then fired a low strike into the back of the net to level the scores.

However, the goal seemed to reawaken the hosts, who upped the ante and scored three more goals in the final 20 minutes to secure their first win of the season.

Aubameyang completed his brace in the 73rd minute before former Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg added Marseille’s fourth goal in the 81st minute.
