Ibrahim Olawoyin continues to prove his worth for Turkish club Rizespor despite being overlooked by Nigeria and Super Eagles.

Despite his consistent and impressive performances for newly promoted Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig, Ibrahim Olawoyin continues to be ignored by the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles

The midfielder once again proved his worth on Sunday with another standout display, scoring a crucial goal in Rizespor's 3-1 victory over Gaziantep FK.

Olawoyin shines for Rizespor

Olawoyin's goal helped his team bounce back from a disappointing 6-2 defeat by Galatasaray in their previous match.

The 26-year-old, affectionately known as '042 Hazard' from his Enugu Rangers days, proved to be the catalyst for Rizespor's resurgence, scoring a stunning headed goal to give his side a vital 2-1 lead.

Not content with just finding the back of the net, Olawoyin's impact extended far beyond scoring goals. He dominated the statistics sheet, completing the most dribbles, drawing fouls, and orchestrating chances with his visionary passes.

Displaying his versatility and defensive prowess, he demonstrated his defensive capabilities by completing three out of five long balls, making six crucial recoveries, and winning 100% of his tackles, showcasing his commitment to both ends of the pitch.

Super Eagles Overlook Olawoyin Despite Form

However, despite his fine form and contributions to his club, he was once again overlooked for the latest Super Eagles squad for the double-header against Ghana and Mali.

It remains a mystery as to why Olawoyin has yet to be given an opportunity to represent his country at the international level.
