Nigeria Super Eagles will switch attention to another set of Falcons after a walk in the park against Sao Tome and Principe with Saudi Arabia in sight.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has confirmed an international friendly for Super Eagles next month.

Nigeria Super Eagles will take on Asian giants Saudi Arabia in a historic international friendly in October in Portugal.

This Pulse Sports Nigeria can report following a press release by the football governing body on Wednesday.

Why Saudi Arabia

The game comes just a month after the Super Eagles walked past Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo.

Nigeria was too hot for the Falcons and True Parrots following a comprehensive 6-0 win on Sunday.

Inspired by Napoli man, Victor Osimhen, who scored a hat-trick, the Eagles brushed the visitors aside inside the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to end the AFCONQ2023 on a high.

The game ended the qualifiers with Nigeria already through to the tournament slated for Ivory Coast early next year before taking on the Falcons.

But now, with the AFCON qualifiers done and dusted, the Super Eagles will switch attention to the FIFA World Cup qualifiers which kick off in November.

Ahead of what is expected to be a difficult road to the 2026 World Cup, the Eagles will play a preparatory match to put them into the mood for the qualifiers with games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe within sight.
