Former Serie A champions have been forced to rebuild their midfield after losing a star midfielder to Saudi Arabia's spending spree in Europe.

Serie A giant Inter Milan will have to find another midfield anchor following the transfer of star man Marcelo Brozovic to Saudi Arabia.

The 30-year-old has been a key player for Inter and helped them to the Serie A title two seasons ago before leading to the Champions League final last season.

“Understand he will undergo medical tests on Friday and then final check to the contracts,” he added. “Deal will be valid until June 2026.”

Brozovic joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2015 initially on loan from Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb before the transfer was made permanent following a brilliant showing from then youngster.

He went on to make 279 appearance for the former champions and scored 23 goals from his defensive midfield role at the club.
