Zirkzee is a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal and Serie A giants AC Milan after a stellar season at Bologna that saw the Nigeria-eligible forward score 11 times and assist four as the Rossoblu ended in the Champions League positions for the first time.

Zirkzee, 23, reportedly has a €40m buyout clause in his Bologna contract.

Toney, 28, was one of the Premier League’s leading strikers before his extended ban ruled him out for eight months until January 2024. He scored four topflight goals after his comeback for the Bees.

David is four years younger than Toney, and the Lille striker has impressed in four seasons at the Ligue 1 side, scoring double figures in every campaign.

The Canadian netted 13 goals each in his first two campaigns at the club, before finding the back of the net 24 times in 2022-23 and 19 times in the concluded season.
