Premier League giants Arsenal have been linked with a possible swap move for Victor Osimhen.

Arsenal could reportedly be able to land Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen on a swap deal with Napoli.

The 24-year-old striker is yet to sign the contract extension he is being offered by the Partenopei, and his current deal expires in 2025.

How Arsenal comes in

According to Express.Uk, Napoli are preparing for the possibility of Osimhen’s exit and are said to be preparing a shortlist of replacements.

The Partenopei are said to have identified Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus as a possible replacement for the Nigeria international and are said to be willing to make a move for him should they lose Osimhen.

However, with Arsenal being one of the admirers of the striker, a swap deal could be struck with the Partenopei.

Meanwhile, Napoli's title defence is going awry so far, and with the recent loss to Fiorentina, manager Rudi Garcia's future is said to be uncertain, and former Chelsea boss Graham Potter is being evaluated as a possible replacement.

The French manager had big boots to fill when he accepted the Partenopei role, as he was replacing Luciano Spaletti, the coach who led Napoli to their first league title in 33 years.

Napoli have struggled to replicate the form they showed under their former boss, or even the fluency in their style of play.

The results they have gotten so far exhibit this; Napoli have already dropped points in four of eight matches this season, two losses and two draws, keeping them fifth on the log, seven points adrift of league leaders Milan.
