After falling behind to an audacious Alberto Reina goal following an error from goalkeeper Joan Garcia, Barcelona rallied back thanks to goals from Eric Garcia, Lewandowski, and Ronald Araujo to seal a 3-1 victory.

Real Oviedo vs Barcelona: How it happened

Oviedo started brightly, backed by their fans in their first meeting with Barcelona in 24 years, forcing four early corners, while Barcelona looked dangerous on the break.

Aarón Escandell kept Marcus Rashford and Pedri at bay with fine saves, before Raphinha struck the post and Ronald Araújo was denied from close range.

Against the run of play, Oviedo took the lead just after the half-hour when Alberto Reina punished Joan García’s error with a stunning long-range strike, only their second goal in six matches.

After the break, Oviedo again pushed forward with Haissem Hassan testing García, but Barcelona found their response.

Ferran Torres’ involvement in a chaotic move ended with Eric García equalising in the 55th minute. The visitors’ quality soon showed as Robert Lewandowski’s powerful header gave them the lead on 70 minutes.

With Oviedo chasing the game, Barça exploited the spaces, and Araújo sealed the win with another header late on. The result extended Barcelona’s winning streak in Thursday LaLiga fixtures to seven, scoring 12 goals and conceding just once in their last three league outings.
