Vinicius said to have renewed
Pulse Sports initially reported that the club had not made headway in negotiations, as Vinicius, currently on a reported £17 million per annum deal, is referencing Mbappe's £25 million salary in his demands.
Los Merengues were said to be wary, as giving in to Vinicius's asks could balloon their wage bill, as that would mean the likes of Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and even Mbappe could ask for more during renewal.
However, reports in the past few days claim both parties have finally reached an agreement and that Vinicius would sign a renewal.

Vinicius' entourage debunk claims
However, members of the player's camp have now come out to deny reaching any such agreement with Real Madrid.
According to a report from the Athletic, per Managing Madrid, the player's entourage stated that the reports claiming they were set to sign a renewal are untrue.
Meanwhile, it has been previously reported that Real Madrid would be open to cashing in on Vinicius, as Saudi interest are interested in paying up to €200 million for him.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos are reportedly considering signing Victor Osimhen for the centre-forward position should they eventually sell Vinicius, a move which would see Kylian Mbappe return to his favored left-wing position.
