Nike have unveiled a special collection of boots for Real Madrid's mercurial no.9.
Kylian Mbappé is officially in his Galactico era, and he’s finally got the boots to prove it. Nike has just launched a Player Edition collection of the iconic Mercurial boot designed especially for the Real Madrid star.
The 26-year-old Les Blues captain has been on fire in his debut campaign at the Bernabéu, scoring 33 goals and bagging two trophies so far.
But it’s the Champions League where he’ll be looking to truly cement his legacy.

And following a humiliating 3-0 first-leg thrashing by Arsenal at the Emirates, Mbappé will need every bit of motivation thanks to the unveiling of his new boots.

Mbappé couldn’t hide his excitement over the new launch.
“I feel blessed to have my own design with this new Nike Player Edition model, especially on a boot that’s been with me for almost my entire career,” he said as per Goal.
“Having my own Player Edition means a lot to me, and it gives me energy to get after the goals I want to achieve.”

The boots, named the Nike Mercurial Kylian Mbappé Player Edition, feature a bold “Grand Purple” colourway and are packed with tech.
The design is also loaded with personal touches too.
There’s a gold-lined logo on the heel, a throwback to Mbappé’s first ‘Rising Fire’ boot, along with graphics from his 2022 ‘Roots’ model.
Two stars on the Superfly cuff honour France’s World Cup triumphs, and inside the boot is his signature alongside his personal motto: “Without risk there is no victory.”

When asked about Los Blancos’ chances after their miserable first-leg outing at the Emirates, Mbappé told reporters on Tuesday night:

And with Mbappé set to lace up in his very own boot line, the stage is set for a potential comeback of epic proportions.
According to reports, the boots will be available globally in both Superfly and Vapor versions in late April at nike.com and select retailers.
