Nigeria's Super Falcons and Cameroon will go head-to-head in a bid to pick a ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Nigerian women's national team, known as the Super Falcons, have declared themselves "ready" for their crucial clash against rivals Cameroon.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Nigeria are visitors to Cameroon for the first leg of their Olympic qualifying playoff on Friday.

The Super Falcons travelled to Douala for the opening match, looking primed for the latest edition of this intense African rivalry.

With a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics up for grabs, Nigeria's women will be highly motivated to get a positive result before the return leg on home soil four days later.

After a disappointing Women's Africa Cup of Nations campaign last year, the Super Falcons view the Olympic qualifiers as a chance to re-establish themselves as a dominant force in African women's football.

But first, they must navigate this difficult playoff against neighbours and arch-rivals Cameroon.

But based on their assertion of readiness on social media, the Super Falcons appear confident of taking a step closer to Olympic qualification in Wednesday's first leg.
