Osimhen is taking care of thousands in Africa — Pundit on why Nigerian star must consider Saudi offers

Victor Osimhen’s future continues to spark speculation as the summer transfer window draws near, but for one pundit, the decision may not be about football at all.

Turkish analyst Onur Tugrul believes the Super Eagles star’s responsibilities off the pitch could push him toward a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on the Vole YouTube channel, Tugrul explained why Osimhen’s situation is unique compared to other football stars, ike Edin Dzeko, who turned down a fortune from Saudi Arabia.

According to Turgul, Osimhen might not have that luxury, and the Turkish pundit explained this saying, “Osimhen takes care of hundreds, even thousands of people in Africa. They live in very crowded places.”

Tugrul also spoke about Osimhen’s lifestyle in Turkey, saying, “Even when they go out at night, they hang out with a crowd. He never goes to Turkish restaurants. He always eats Nigerian food.”

While football fans focus on trophies and Champions League nights, Osimhen may be thinking about more social issues, according to sources.

A move to Saudi Arabia would offer financial security not just for him, but for the thousands he supports.

In that light, it becomes harder to criticise any decision he makes, despite fans harping on the allure of playing European football and enhancing his legacy.

If Saudi clubs come knocking with massive contracts, as Al Hilal is rumoured to be doing, Osimhen might be tempted to seriously consider the offer for the people counting on him.
