Official: Chukwueze joins Iwobi, Bassey at Fulham
Premier League side Fulham have announced the deadline-day signing of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze from Fulham.
The 26-year-old has spent the past two seasons in Serie A with AC Milan, failing to make his mark. He has now moved to the Premier League, where he will line up side by side with his international teammates Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
The details
Fulham moved late for the Nigerian, with Fabrizio Romano reporting an agreement between all parties earlier today. He reported that Fulham were set to sign the Nigerian on a loan deal with an option to buy.
The Cottagers have now announced the deal officially, hours after the international break closed. The Premier League side announced it across their official channels.
They confirmed that the deal was for an initial loan with an option to purchase, and they did not disclose the amount involved. However, Fabrizio had earlier reported that they had agreed to pay a fee of over €25/26 million to sign the Nigerian permanently,
