The decision was confirmed through a statement released on the club’s official social media handles on Thursday.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, following recent circumstances, Nuno Espírito Santo has today been relieved of his duties as Head Coach.

The Club thanks Nuno for his contribution during a very successful era at The City Ground, in particular his role in the 2024/25 season, which will forever be remembered fondly in the history of the Club,” the statement read.

Nuno took charge of Forest in late 2023 and played a key role in stabilising the team during a turbulent period. His work in the 2024/25 season, highlighted by memorable results at The City Ground, earned him plaudits among sections of the fanbase.
