Jorge Messi dispels rumours of earlier reported 'done deal' with Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal.

Reports surfaced hours ago claiming Lionel Messi has reached an agreement to sign for Al Hilal when his PSG deal runs out; however, his father and representative, Jorge Messi, has come out to dispel the rumours.

The 35-year-old will be a free agent once again at the end of the season, leading to speculation on his future.

He has reportedly been offered a renewal by PSG, which he has not signed, and is of interest to Barcelona for a sensational return. However, the seismic bid by Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal has come to the fore in recent weeks.

The mammoth financial package by the AFC Champions League finalists also comes with offers to Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, his former teammates at Barcelona, to convince the Argentine to put pen to paper.

And in the last 48 hours, reports surfaced claiming it was a done deal, and that the former Barcelona man's next destination is the Gulf.

However, his father has denied any such agreement, saying nothing will be agreed or signed with any of the interested parties until the end of the season.

“There’s absolutely nothing agreed with any club for next season. We will decide at the end of the season,” he said in an official statement, per Fabrizio Romano.

“Nothing is signed, agreed or verbally agreed. Only fake news using Leo’s name."

As we previously reported, Messi’s decision to move to Saudi Arabia is subject to his wife sanctioning the move, and reports have emerged that the mother of three prefers to stay in Europe than move to the Middle East.
