Lionel Messi has reportedly agreed to join MLS side Inter Miami.

Argentine star Lionel Messi has reportedly reached an agreement in principle to join David Beckham's MLS side Inter Miami this summer.

The 35-year-old will leave Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month when his contract expires, becoming a free agent.

He is of keen interest to the MLS side, his former club Barcelona, and AFC Champions League finalists Al-Hilal. The Americans have reportedly won the race, having reached an agreement in principle with the player.

Messi to Al-Hilal

According to multiple reports, including France's RMC Sports, the Qatar 2022 Champion is set for a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.

Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal were thought to be leading the race for his signature at some point, but the player reportedly preferred a move to Barcelona or the Miami-based club.

Although the Blaugrana have received the green light from LALIGA to start the process of signing Messi, they are in a race against time as the player wants to decide on his future as soon as possible.

Inter Miami have reportedly beaten them to the chase and reached an agreement in principle. Although nothing has been signed yet, North America looks to be the next destination for the Argentine superstar.
