Messi leaves Ronaldo in dust as he sets new milestone to help Inter Miami reach MLS Cup final

Inter Miami secured the MLS Eastern Conference title with a commanding 5-1 victory over New York City FC.

While the Argentine superstar didn't find the back of the net himself, he provided a key assist for Silvetti for the third goal, marking his 405th career assist.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner broke Pukas’ assists record to become the new king of assists, beating Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 304 career assists.

Messi played an important role in Inter Miami’s win, but the star of the match, however, was Allende, who netted a brilliant hat-trick. 

His final goal in the 89th minute sealed the emphatic win and officially confirmed Inter Miami as conference champions, bringing them one step closer to their first-ever MLS Cup.

With Messi leading Inter Miami to the final, having set a new all-time record, as reported by Fabrizio on X, the legend and his team will face Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS Cup final.

The championship match is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, where Inter Miami will have the opportunity to lift the league's most coveted trophy for the first time in franchise history.

Messi now stands alone as the most decorated player in the history of football, winning several trophies at different clubs. 

His extensive collection of honours includes 35 titles with Barcelona, six with the Argentine national team, three with Paris Saint-Germain, and now three with Inter Miami.
