Marcus Rashford: Aston Villa fear losing unwanted Man Utd forward to Champions League contender

Aston Villa chiefs are reportedly convinced that Marcus Rashford will not join the club permanently in the summer.

Aston Villa are reportedly growing increasingly convinced that Marcus Rashford will join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window. 

The 27-year-old's future remains uncertain as the end of his loan spell at Villa Park approaches.

Could Villa lose out on Rashford?

While Villa have a £40 million option to buy Rashford from the Europa League semi-finalists, any permanent move is dependent on the forward's agreement.

According to Football Insider, the Villans are now of the opinion that Champions League semi-finalists PSG are in the strongest position to secure a deal for the England international.

PSG have held a long-standing interest in Rashford, who is not expected to have a future at Old Trafford after falling out with Ruben Amorim

Despite recently featuring against PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals for Villa, the club believes the French champions are the frontrunners for his signature.   

During his loan spell at Villa Park, Rashford has scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
