Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane could be set for a return to the Premier League.

Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane is reportedly set to leave Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer and could return to the Premier League.

The 31-year-old only recently joined the Bavarians last summer from Liverpool for a reported £27.4 million fee, but his stint at Bayern has gone awry after a physical altercation with teammate Leroy Sane, and it could mean the end of the road in Germany for him.

Mane set to leave Bayern

The DailyMail reported that Sadio Mane no longer has a future with the German champions after the transfer has yet to work out as anticipated.

His underwhelming season culminated in him punching teammate Sane, but before that, he struggled to fit in at the club and suffered injuries that have hampered his acclimatisation.

He has only scored 12 goals this season, far off from the over 40 goals of Lewandowski, whose exit he hoped to cushion.

With an exit likely, the report suggests only Premier League clubs are currently a possible destination, with his €20 million wages factored in.

As we previously reported, regarding the altercation between Sane and Mane, Tuchel insisted that the Senegal star was a "top professional," but he also acknowledged that such behaviour cannot go unpunished.
