United boss Ten Hag has been open about his desire to bring in competition for De Gea, but he has also been staunch in his defence of the Spaniard and has pushed for him to sign a new deal.
The Red Devils had been set to agree and announce a deal with De Gea but late interest from Saudi Arabia's Pro League threatened to complicate the situation.
However, according to 90min, the Spain international does not wish to leave Man Utd for the Middle East at this point in his career and will instead sign a new deal to continue at Old Trafford.
