Manchester United have reportedly dropped their interest in Mason Mount after Chelsea rejected three bids for the England midfielder.

Mason Mount's potential move to Manchester United may have hit a brick wall with the Red Devils reportedly set to look elsewhere.

United have had three bids for Mount knocked back and have so far been reluctant to meet Chelsea's asking price for the England international.

According to The Times, the Red Devils consider Chelsea's asking price totally unrealistic, with Mount only having one year left on his contract, and will now walk away from negotiations.

Chelsea received United's latest offer on Friday afternoon, which included a £50million guaranteed payment plus £5million in add-ons. The Blues then made a counter proposal of £65million and offered to hold face-to-face talks to find a resolution.

Man United to swoop for Caicedo?

The report further states that United boss Erik ten Hag will now turn his attention to Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo who is also a top target for Chelsea.

The Seagulls are believed to be looking for at least £80million for the Ecuadorian, a number that has so far proved too high for Chelsea to meet and could now present the Red Devils with an opportunity.
