The defender has signed a five-year contract with his new club and is eligible to play in this month's Club World Cup.

The Algerian international joined Wolves in 2021 from Angers, having spent the previous season on loan at Molineux.

Angers included a sell-on clause in the deal, entitling them to 50% of any future transfer fee. Wolves have the option to buy out this clause for approximately £10 million.

"City are one of the biggest clubs in the world and it's a dream come true to play here. I'm excited to work with and learn from Pep Guardiola and his staff, and to train and play alongside this group of world-class players," Ait-Nouri said.

This is Manchester City's first signing of the summer. Their next acquisition is expected to be midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan.

City spent £200 million in the winter window, bringing in Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Roque. Wolves have now lost two key players, with Matheus Cunha already having joined Manchester United.
