Red Devils on the Warpath: Manchester United faithful issue bold threat to Fulham’s Super Eagles trio

The Theatre of Dreams is preparing for an explosive encounter this Sunday, and Manchester United fans are already turning up the heat on Fulham’s Nigerian contingent.

As Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze prepare to visit Old Trafford, they do so against a United side transformed under Michael Carrick.

Fresh from stunning victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, the United faithful have made it clear that past heroics from the Cottagers will not be repeated.

‘You Have Not Learnt’ - United Fans Dismiss Fulham’s Hype

Following Fulham’s social media posts celebrating their last successful trip to Manchester, United supporters were quick to fire back.

The message was simple: the momentum from the Emirates Masterclass is coming for Fulham next.

Chukwueze does not want Iwobi's help anymore.
Chukwueze is in fine scoring form.

“You have not learnt anything from other clubs, posting previous wins against Manchester United only to get banter after match day,” one fan warned. Another was even more direct about the expected scoreline, stating, “See person wey I wan beat just 3-0.”

The confidence is soaring in the red half of Manchester, with fans reminding the visitors of their recent scalps: “Una don remember say una dey face us. No worry, wetin remain for Emirates dey come for una.”

Despite the immense respect for the Super Eagles stars across Nigeria, United’s local and global supporters have declared a temporary ceasefire on friendship.

“My Naija boys make una no vex, I just have to win,” one supporter admitted, while another took a much more aggressive stance, declaring, “It’s war now. You just signed your own death warrant.”

The absence of Andre Onana, who has since moved on, has also been a talking point, with fans telling Bassey that the "easy goals" era is over. “Bassey, your cousin Onana is no longer here,” a fan quipped, suggesting that beating the current United backline will be a far more difficult task.

Match Preview: A Battle for the Top Four

The stakes couldn't be higher for both sides:

Calvin Bassey and teammate Alex Iwobi.

The Carrick Effect: Michael Carrick has a 100% record since taking over, leading United to 4th place in the Premier League.

The Nigerian Threat: Samuel Chukwueze is in "Henrysque" form after his stunner against Brighton, while Alex Iwobi remains the heartbeat of Fulham’s midfield.

The Record: While Fulham won at Old Trafford in 2024, United have only lost one of their last 20 Premier League meetings with the Londoners.

With United looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games and Fulham sitting comfortably in 7th, Sunday’s clash promises to be an explosive encounter where Naija pride meets Carrick’s Revival.
