Liverpool target Huijsen reveals how ex-Chelsea coach Mourinho and 6 others helped his career
Bournemouth’s defender Dean Huijsen is one of the most coveted talents in world football, as he is expected to leave the Cherries this summer, with Real Madrid, Juventus, and Liverpool among the clubs prepared to trigger his £50 million release clause.
The 20-year-old has been a top performer in the Premier League this season and is already a Spanish international. He is a product of many influences, and in a conversation with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, he listed some of them.

What Huijsen said
The Dutch-Spaniard spent his formative years in the academies of Malaga and Juventus. He made his senior debut with the Old Lady before he was sent on loan to Roma and eventually sold to Bournemouth.
During his time in Italy and around many top professionals, Huijsen soaked up lots of knowledge, and he told Di Marzio the names of those who impacted him the most.
“(Massimiliano) Allegri, (Jose) Mourinho and (Daniele) De Rossi are special. Football-wise, I learned a lot from Bremer and (Gianluca) Mancini. (Paulo) Dybala and (Romelu) Lukaku are life teachers,” Huijsen said.
Meanwhile, Huijsen has addressed the allegations that he is regularly under the influence of marijuana.
Many fans have noticed his droopy eyes, which tend to make him look sleepy on the pitch. This has led to speculation that the Amsterdam-born defender consumes marijuana.
In an appearance on a podcast, the host, Matthew Pincus, asked Huijsen about his eyes, and the former Juventus star replied, saying that it was genetic and that he got it from his mother. He denied the weed-smoking allegations, explaining that he merely had “sleepy eyes.”
