According to reports, Kepa Arrizabalaga wants to remain at Chelsea despite the clubs interest in Andre Onana.

Chelsea's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly keen on remaining at the club, believing he can finally justify his price tag.

The West Londoners signed Kepa from Athletic Club in the summer of 2018 for a world-record fee following the exit of Thibaut Courtois.

The Spaniard struggled to inspire confidence and lost the starting goalkeeper spot to Edouard Mendy.

Kepa reclaimed it last season following Mendy's struggles and believes he can continue to be Chelsea's first-choice shot-stopper.

What happened

The Daily Mail reported that the Basque keeper was intent on staying at the club amid reports that he could leave.

The Blues have been heavily linked with Inter's Andre Onana, with reports pitting them against Manchester United for the signing of the Cameroonian.

However, Kepa believes he can be Chelsea's number one for next season and beyond. Pochettino's goalkeeping coach, Toni Jimenez, who reportedly has a good relationship with the Spain international, is said to be a contributing factor.

Kepa is said to have been in contact with the trainer since the end of last season, and they are working together to help him become a dominant force in goal.
