Bellingham wins LALIGA Player of the Season
LALIGA announced their end-of-the-season awards today via their official channels and Bellingham was given the most coveted prize of all, the LALIGA Player of the Season.
The England international Midfielder led the league in goals for swathes of the season and although he eventually fell behind Pichichi winner Artem Dovbyk of Girona and second-placed Aleksander Sorloth, Bellingham’s 19 goals from a non-center forward position in his debut season remains an extraordinary feat.
Bellingham's exploits helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side reclaim the Laliga title after losing it to bitter rivals Barcelona last season
The former Birmingham City midfielder beat the likes of his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Junior and Tony Kroos, Girona’pair of Dovbyk and Salvinho, Barcelona’s Robert Lewandoski, Athletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezeman and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams to the award.
