She netted 27 goals in 44 matches for the team en route to making the team of the season and picking up one of the top awards in women’s soccer in the United States.

The Super Falcons star was named the Honda Sport Award winner for women’s soccer, becoming the third player in Seminoles history to win the coveted award.

Her stellar season has now attracted Italian giants, who are reportedly interested in bringing the Nigeria phenom to Europe.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Super Falcon has said her goodbyes to Seminoles ahead of the expected switch to Italy.

“Juventus Women's first coup in this January transfer window will be Nigerian Jennifer Onyi Echegini, who has just returned from a couple of excellent seasons with the Florida State Seminoles in the United States,” the report stated.

“The footballer born in 2001 has in fact said goodbye to the university club and will soon be announced by the Bianconeri with whom she has already found an agreement,” it added.

The Nigerian is seen as the perfect player to strengthen Juventus as coach Montemurro looks to strengthen his team ahead of a busy schedule.

Meanwhile, Echegini whose impressive form earned her place in Nigeria’s 2023 FIFAWWC squad is also up for another award, with the MAC Hermann trophy set to announce a winner on Friday.
