Man United boss Rúben Amorim spoke highly of his Man City counterpart Pep Guardiola, and addressed the ongoing comparisons between the two managers.

"No, you can't make comparisons; it's ridiculous. This man just keeps winning. He can relax even if he's not winning anymore," he said as per The People's Person via Yahoo Sports.

"I, on the other hand, have to prove my worth every single day here, and I feel that. I'm very comfortable with that, and I believe that every day I come here, I have to get better."

It's worth noting that last season, Amorim defeated Pep twice: once with a 4-1 victory in the Champions League as Sporting's coach, and again with a 2-1 win in his first Manchester Derby.

Ruben Amorim has already tasted the Manchester derby and he knows what it means.

Last season he took United to the Etihad and left with a famous 2-1 win.

Later in the spring he held City to a goalless draw.

However, this weekend is another big test.

Guardiola has seen it all and done it all, but Amorim is bringing fresh ideas as he ushers in a new era under INEOS.

His United side is still learning, still a little rough in some areas, but they've done some really decent business in the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, for Guardiola, this is a rare moment of vulnerability.

His Man City side has made a surprisingly poor start to the season and currently sits in an uncharacteristic 16th place.

With United's league form also inconsistent, a victory at the Etihad would not only be a massive statement from Amorim, but could also provide the momentum needed to launch their climb up the table.
