In the Championship, Iheanacho comes off the bench as Leicester City starts Championship campaign with a 2-1 win against Coventry.

Leicester City relegated from the Premier League last season played their first Championship fixture against Coventry City on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

At the King Power Stadium, Leicester City defeated Coventry City 2-1 in their Championship season opener.

After the first half ended scoreless, Kyle McFadzean's near-post corner goal in the 47th minute gave last season's defeated Championship play-off finalists the lead and seemed to be on their way to a well-earned three points.

But after 77 minutes, Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City made equalized for their first goal of the season.

Dewsbury-Hall's superb right-foot curler from 15 yards gave Leicester the victory in the 87th minute.
