A week later, Ndidi embraces relegation with Leicester City.

Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has finally reflected on Leicester City getting relegated from the Premier League.

During the final day of the 2022–23 season, Leicester City was demoted from the Premier League.

While Bournemouth did them no favors by losing to Everton, the Foxes put up a fight at home to defeat UEFA European Conference League finalists West Ham United.

Ndidi had a significant injury that kept him out of the team for some time during a disastrous season under Brendan Rodgers.

Ndidi was in and out of the team as Dean Smith was hired by the Foxes to help with the dilemma.

The former manager of Aston Villa and Norwich would do his best to aid the Foxes in finding some form again, but it would be too little, too late for them.

Ndidi on Leicester City relegation

Ndidi, who plays as a defensive midfielder for Leicester City, took to social media to reflect on the team getting relegated.

Along with a photo, he said, "I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for the team's relegation.

"Gutted that we couldn’t make it in the end. We understand how much you invested in supporting us throughout the season, and we deeply regret letting you down.

"Please know that your unwavering support is invaluable to us, and we are grateful for your loyalty to the club. Thank you for your understanding and continued support."

It has been reported that Napoli has designated Ndidi as its main target.

Due to his club's recent relegation, Ndidi, who has one year left on his contract with Leicester City, may be available for a fair price.
