‘I said what I said’ - Chelsea legend Mikel Obi insists that Jackson needs to improve
The forward has faced a lot of criticism from pundits since his move to Chelsea, having failed to live up to expectations.
Last month, Mikel aimed at Jackson following his poor performance against Manchester City in the Premier League.
However, the Chelsea striker also responded to Mikel's comment after scoring against Wolves in the Blues 6-2 win.
Mikel stands firm on his word
Mikel Obi has said he is not retracting his comment about Jackson and has stuck to his statement.
Speaking on beIN Sports, Mikel Obi said, “I’ve always said what I said about Nicolas Jackson. There’s no time I said he is a bad player; he needs to improve on his finishing.”

The 2013 AFCON winner blasted the Senegalese forward, claiming he is not the striker Chelsea needs.
He mentioned that Chelsea ‘needs a striker who can hit the ball’ and can put the ball into the back on the net.
At the moment, Mikel does not see Chelsea as a team that has a goal-scoring striker despite the presence of Jackson.
During the summer transfer window, Chelsea made a move for Victor Osimhen but were unable to agree on a deal for the Nigerian striker.
The Blues were looking to get Napoli forward on loan but could not agree on the Super Eagles star's weekly wages.
