Cole Palmer could be on his way out of Chelsea after reports suggested the 22-year-old is struggling to adapt to life in London.

Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer is reportedly unsettled in London, and could push for a move in the summer.

Despite a hugely successful individual season since his 2023 transfer from Manchester City, Palmer's future at Chelsea may not be secure. According to reports, the attacker is willing to return to Manchester to be closer to his family.

Cole Palmer to Manchester United?

While United's recent struggles might make attracting a player of Palmer's calibre seem unlikely, a unique opportunity could be emerging for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the club's new leadership.

If these claims of homesickness are true, Manchester United would appear to be the most logical destination, especially as the player is boyhood fan of the Red Devils

A move to Liverpool seems improbable, and while Palmer is a product of Manchester City's academy, a return to the Etihad feels unlikely after his departure.

Financially, United should be able to meet Palmer's wage demands. Furthermore, with the race for European qualification still open, there is a distinct possibility that United could offer Champions League football next season, an advantage they may hold over Chelsea.

Any deal would undoubtedly command a substantial transfer fee, likely exceeding £100 million, along with a significant salary and assurances of a key role in the squad. However, acquiring Palmer would align perfectly with INEOS's stated goal of bringing the best British talent to Old Trafford.

Chelsea are unlikely to be willing to part with a player of Palmer's class and talent, and it remains to be seen whether the attacking midfielder pushes for a move at the end of the season.
