With the score at 1–1 and extra time looming, the Houston Dash defender widely considered the ‘hottest footballer’ in the Super Falcons team, launched a sensational left-footed cross from deep inside her own half, sending the ball bouncing over the keeper and into the net — a strike so improbable that even replays briefly handed credit to teammate Deborah Abiodun.

VAR confirmed Alozie as the rightful scorer, and the entire Super Falcons squad united in celebration, delighting fans across the country.

Despite a shaky start, the Super Falcons fashionista admitted to a few misplaced passes earlier before emerging as her team’s unlikely hero, shining when it mattered most.

Known for her versatility as a defender and attacker, Alozie has played a key role in the road to “Mission X” — Nigeria’s bid for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title as outlined by the Nigeria Football Federation earlier this month.
