Al Nassr are scrambling to retain the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, who, despite a historic season in front of goal, is reportedly considering his options after a trophyless year in Saudi Arabia.
With his contract set to expire on June 30, the club’s sporting director, Fernando Hierro, revealed in a Thursday press conference that negotiations are underway to extend the 40-year-old’s deal.
“Cristiano’s contract with Al Nassr runs until the end of June,” Hierro stated as per ESPN.

“We are negotiating to renew it. God willing, we will find a solution.”
The former Spain international praised Ronaldo’s monumental influence on the Saudi game, calling him a catalyst for the league's transformation.
“Cristiano has opened up football in this country to the world,” Hierro added.
“It’s phenomenal that he had the courage to come here, stay here, and open all the doors.”
